Light therapies for myopia control .

Light-based treatments are a new approach to controlling myopia. The best studied so far is repeated low-level red light (RLRL) therapy at 650nm, which has growing evidence for slowing both the onset and progression of myopia in children. This includes children with high myopia and those showing fast progression while wearing orthokeratology lenses.

Other light therapies are in development, such as cyan light-emitting glasses (507nm), bright white light desktop devices, and a VR-like headset that delivers targeted light to the optic nerve. Stay tuned for updates on these exciting new options for myopia management.
